Mitten Tree – DIY Mitten Tree Ornament Template

Every year the St. Catharines Museum hosts our annual Mitten Tree campaign as a way to give back to the community in support of Community Care St. Catharines, Thorold and Star Me up Niagara’s Out of the Cold program. Here at the Museum, we collect donations of mittens, hats, scarves and other wooly garments to give back to people who are less fortunate.

As part of the Mitten Tree crafts, STCM have provided a virtual Mitten Tree Ornament template in both an Adobe and Word file. Download the template version that works best for your electronic device.

Once you have downloaded your Mitten Tree Ornament template, print the template off. If you are unable to print, STCM recommend designing your Mitten Tree Ornament digitally.

Get creative and decorate your mitten incorporating the holiday season and what it means to give back to your community in the design. Once you have designed your mitten, make a tiny hole at the top or bottom of the mitten, put a piece of string or ribbon through the whole and hang it up as decoration.
