Caption This! Contest Wrap-up and Winner Announcement

Throughout the month of September, we’ve been inviting the public to help us co-curate our Caption This! Social Media series. Each Tuesday and Thursday we posted a fun photograph from our St. Catharines Standard collection on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and asked our social media audiences to provide captions for the photographs. We had a lot of fun reading the captions you all can up with, thank you to everyone who participated!  Below you can see some of our favourites in the Caption This! series.

Every participant receives a 10% discount at the museum gift shop for the month of October and were also put into a draw to win FREE ADMISSION to our Open Late Finale Party featuring Beth Moore on Tuesday, October 4th for three people (winner and two others).

And now, we’d like to announce the WINNER of our first ever Caption This! Contest (drum roll, please!)! Congratulations, John Williams of St. Catharines on Twitter! Woohoo, congrats John!

We hope to see you all at our Finale Party this Tuesday, October 4th! The party begins at 5pm and features delicious food from Ello Gov’na food truck and live music from local award winning musician Beth Moore! We’ll also be having special gallery tours where the public gets to decide which stories we tell are fact or fiction!
