About

Museums are such diverse places – in one building you can find such a wide cross section of work and activity. The Museum Chat blog is your place to get a sneak peek at what is going on at the St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre – both in the public eye and behind the scenes!

In this blog you will hear about interesting artifacts that are being catalogued, exhibition and programme development and events and activities that are upcoming for you to enjoy!  You will also have the opportunity to interact with us and tell us what you think about the posts you read here.  You can share your memories or experiences of an event or artifact; ask us questions about caring for historic objects; or just tell us what you think about your visit to the site!   Comments on the blog are moderated by Museum Staff.

If you’d like to keep in touch with news as it is posted here, sign up for our RSS feed and you will be notified via email of anything new that is posted.

We look forward to sharing our MuseumChat with you and hope to hear from you on what you think and what you’d like us to chat about in the future!

  1. Hi there! We love your Legacy of a pandemic project…I’m just wondering if you have that file in something other than pdf so that our students might be able to fill it out online and then we could print it at a later date? Would you be able to turn it into a word doc or something on google drive? Thanks for your help.
