This week’s artifact is an arctic flying suit used by Air Commodore and famed “Saviour of Ceylon” Leonard Birchall during his time with the Royal Canadian Air Force, possibly with the 413th Squadron. The suit features a Lightning brand zipper manufactured in St. Catharines.
