Ready for 2021-2022!
We are thrilled to announce our 2021-2022 educational program offering. We have an exciting line-up of safe, fun, and curriculum-based experiences for all students. We are happy to present these experiences in-person and virtually, and are ready to work with parents, teachers, and students on the platform they are most comfortable with. We are also happy to provide live meeting opportunities or pre-recorded programs.
We’re Excited!
We are most excited about our new programs and are happy to partner with the Salem Chapel, BME Church, to present a downtown walking tour titled Last Stop: the Underground Railroad in Downtown St. Catharines. This program will be available for select dates in May and June only.
We also continue to offer a number of what we call ‘adventure style’ programs. These experiences – in-person or virtual – incorporate games, physical activities, critical thinking, inquiry, and inferencing for students to learn through discovery. History Hunters, Hiking Through History, and, Where’s the Pig? all offer a fun look at our local history.
Our regular programming continues as well, including a new Black History program titled On the Liberty Line: Early Black History in St. Catharines. Other programs about the history, construction, engineering, and operation of the Welland Canal are available for all grades. And back by popular demand, is our Travelling Museum programs (ELKP-3, and grades 4-6) which is available virtually and broadcast from the Museum’s collection spaces.
