Museum Classroom: I Spy Tour Breakdown

Lesson: I Spy Tour Breakdown
Topic: Colours and Shapes
Grades: K-3

Activity and Lesson

Watch the I SPY tour with Adrian. While watching and playing along, identify and list shapes and colours you see for each object. Evaluate each object based on your list and determine how important colour and shape are to the object.

For example: the shape of the winch is important to it’s operation (gears need to be circular to work properly), but the colour of the winch is not important – it could be any colour.

Another example: the colour of the car is important to it’s ‘curb appeal’ but the shape of the body (as we know from modern cars) is not as important to its operation.

Have fun!
