This exhibition, which commemorates the 100th anniversary of the First World War, has been on display in our galleries since 2014. It is the incredible product of community collaboration, with many family members of St. Catharines men and women who served in the war efforts, either on the field or at the home front, contributing cherished objects and stories to the exhibition.
On this episode of Museum Chat Live!, we’d like to help close out our WWI exhibit by honouring the stories we share in Doing Our Bit. Kathleen Powell, curator of the St. Catharines Museum and Sara Nixon, Public Programmer, sit down to talk about the exhibit and to explore the ways in which meaning, memory, and history weave together into the stories presented in its displays.
