There was a huge variety of advertisements that ran in Victorian newspapers, just like Twitter. These advertisements would often appear randomly as traditional news articles or in the middle of traditional news items and one had to watch out for advertising in the middle of news, just like Twitter. They may be annoying and they may come in all shapes and sizes today, but Victorian advertisements are a fantastic window into the ins and outs of daily Victorian Life in St. Catharines.
