This week’s artifact is a wax cylinder donated by a resident of St. Catharines. The cylinder contains an instrumental selection from the opera-comique “The Hermit’s Bell Overture (Les Dragons de Villars)” written by Aimé Maillart. It is performed by the American Symphony Orchestra and was released in 1913.
